Community in Action
Applewood’s events bring families, teachers, and staff together to create meaningful connections, celebrate milestones, and support the growth of our children and our center. Whether it’s sharing a picnic, discussing your child’s progress, or joining a larger community celebration, these events strengthen the bonds that make Applewood special. We invite you to participate, get involved, and be an active part of the Applewood community.
Held during the first week of October, this picnic provides a relaxed setting for families and staff to connect, share stories, and build relationships while celebrating the start of a new school year.
Every November, the Board of Directors hosts this meeting to share updates on Applewood’s growth and progress. Families and staff are encouraged to attend, learn about the Board’s work, and explore ways to actively contribute to Applewood’s vision.
At least once per year, families meet with teachers to discuss their child’s development, milestones, and goals. These conversations foster collaboration between families and educators, ensuring the best outcomes for each child.
This annual celebration, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), highlights the importance of early childhood education and recognizes the programs that support young children and their families.
At Applewood, we celebrate with special activities for children and families, including our Annual Art Show, which showcases children’s creative and aesthetic growth, and a Celebration of Early Childhood Professionals in Concord, NH. Join us in honoring the children, educators, and programs that make a lasting impact on our community.
